One evening at the dinner, Mevlana noticed that his son looked extremely sad and depressed.

The son replied: “Nothing serious. There are some personal problems I have to deal with. That’s all.”

Mevlana: “Can I help you in anyway? Just let me know.”

The son answered with a gloomy voice: “No father, thank you. I have to overcome my sufferings myself.”

Mevlana left the house. Sometime later the son heard a wolf howling just outside the house. He was scared that the wolf could pose a danger to his father. He took the rifle and went also out of the house.

When he got out of the house, he was surprised to see his father howling like a wolf in front of the house. The son laughed at the funny scene, that is, his father was wearing the pelt of a wolf and wailing.

Mevlana said: “The wolf is undoubtedly a scary, dangerous animal. But when you saw me clothed like a wolf, you started laughing at me and had fun. Hence, you should know that there is God disguised in all troubles, sufferings and hardship. Instead of being worried and stressed of your problems, just know that God is in control of them and has a purpose in allowing them to occur. God loves you and wants to refine you in your sufferings and troubles. Now, cheer up and consider that they are blessing s from God.”
