Misunderstanding and Consequences
In a rural area as a part of the routine, the farmer’s daughter-in-law came to the stable to milk the cow early in the morning. While she was milking the cow, somehow in the blink of an eye, the rope binding the cow to the wooden pole became untied. Upon this accidental release of the rope, the cow shook her head to one side by hitting the unaware farmer girl. The strike by the cow’s head was too much for the skinny farmer girl and she fell off the chair and fainted on the spot.
When the father-in-law heard the noise, he took his rifle and immediately went to the stable. When he opened the door, he was shocked to see his daughter-in-law lying on the ground. He thought she is dead and held the cow responsible for this. Therefore, without any hesitation, he pulled the trigger and shot the cow.
Upon hearing the shooting, the farmer’s son rushed into the stable. What did he see? His wife and the cow were lying on the ground and his father was holding a rifle. The cow, the woman, and the stable were in blood. The young farmer thought his father killed his wife, without thinking and questioning him, he took his gun and shot his father to death.
Soon his blacked-out wife woke up and told him what happened. When he listened to her and realized that his father did not kill his wife. He was regretful over his sudden thoughtless reaction. He exclaimed: “Oh my God, I killed my innocent father, God have mercy on me.” Then he took the gun and killed himself.
Satan was grinning somewhere in the stable and said: “I just released the rope of the cow.”
